I can help you feel at ease through the use of techniques that go beyond talk therapy, such as EMDR, Trauma Resiliency Model, and Yoga Nidra.
Do you feel tense or on edge all the time? Does your mind constantly search for the worst case scenario? Do you have difficulty breathing or sometimes your chest feels tight? Do you remember the last time you felt calm and at ease? Talking to friends and family helps only for a short period of time. They tell you not to worry, and you wish it were that easy. You know you don’t want to feel like this forever.
My name is Bahar. In my early 20’s I began experiencing anxiety. I was doing well in college and had supportive friends and family. It didn’t make any sense, where did all this anxiety and panic come from? I felt like talk therapy helped for a short period of time to feel supported, but it didn’t do much to lower my anxiety. It wasn’t until I worked with a counselor who understood the role of the body and mind, that the anxiety began to ease.
This is why I think it’s so important to integrate practices that include the body and the nervous system when working with anxiety and trauma.
I use a unique blend of EMDR, Trauma Resiliency Model, and Meditation in my practice. The feelings you can’t shake off don’t have to last forever. I can help you feel calmer in your body and mind. Many clients report feeling better after a few sessions.
